Bluestem Botanicals tinctures are crafted by experienced herbalists using farm-grown, certified organic plants whenever possible. Co-Owner Linda Shanahan has been making herbal extracts since 1999, continually expanding her knowledge through hands-on work with plants and ongoing learning from other herbalists and medicine makers.
Most of our tinctures are made with fresh or freshly dried herbs grown on our own farm. When we are unable to grow a particular plant for an extract, we first source from other local farmers, then from growers across the Northeast, and finally from farms elsewhere in the United States when needed.
