Bluestem Botanicals hydrosols are distilled from fresh, farm-grown herbs to capture their most delicate aromatic qualities. Crafted on a small scale with care and precision, these botanical distillates offer a vivid way to experience the scent and character of the plants we grow.

Eric has long been fascinated by the alchemy of distillation and wanted to explore ways to capture plant aromatics without alcohol. To support our small-scale process, he built a custom still designed to produce food-grade hydrosols suited to the herbs we grow.

Our team hand harvests herbs at their peak aromatic expression, and we typically distill them fresh to preserve delicate qualities that can be lost in drying. Distilling fresh plants also means that the plant's own cellular water becomes part of the finished hydrosol.

Enjoy our hydrosols as a facial spray, in skin care, or in beverage craft. Try spritzing the top of a glass of seltzer or misting the outside of the glass to enhance the aromatic experience with every sip.
