Not kidding about the fire

This stuff is Strong!!I can't see myself taking it as a tonic on any regular basis. It's definitely well named - as it has a burn like fire. Definitely spicy.I could see it lending a kick to drinks, maybe even for cooking, but it needs to be balanced out with other flavors.

Great base…

This is definitely strong on the vinegar side and pretty mild on the “fire” side. I was hoping for a bit more of a spicy flavor to it. You can definitely taste the spices in the undertones, but vinegar takes front stage. It still worked well when used for cocktails and I’m looking for to using it to marinate some veggies for roasting. Very nice overall and great for a variety of uses.

Excellent in soups and salads

This has a really nice flavor. You can taste the aromatics that were added to this. I love adding just a splash to bean heavy soups. Also makes an awesome salad dressing with a bit of olive oil.

So Yummy

I have really enjoyed using this as a vinegar alternate on things I want to be a little spicy and more complex. I wish it was just a little more viscous/less runny, but it's definitely usable even as a very runny liquid. The flavor is a very mild spice and has a strong vinegar flavor - I like it on pasta but I imagine it would make a great addition to a salad dressing.

Just as good as homemade

I've made my own fire cider before and while homemade is always going to be "better" because you can tailor it to your own tastes, this was a very very good substitute! It's definitely got that apple cider vinegar tang to it. You can kind of mitigate that by mixing honey and warm water together and then adding the fire cider to it. When I make my own I tend to put a fair amount of heat in mine so I was kind of expecting some heat in this one and didn't get any. And that's fine! That's really what makes fire cider so good. I have only ever used fire cider as a cold/flu remedy, never in mixed drinks or as a salad dressing. Honestly you aren't drinking this as a drink. It's best to just do it as a shot and be done with it. Excellent quality, tasted exactly as I expected it to, and bonus that it's made in the US!
