Intensely aromatic and warming, this bitter blood moving root is used in digestion supporting formulas, reproductive system supporting formulas, and in artisanal cocktail craft.
We harvest this root fresh in late winter/early spring in order to capture the plant during it's more dormant phase when the roots are most potent. Because we make this extract with fresh root, we are able to maintain as much of the aromatic essential oils that naturally occur in the plant as possible in the final extract.
Our recipe ratio is 1 part fresh plant to 2 parts menstruum, resulting in approximately 500 mg/mL of plant material.
