The Professional Kit builds on the Original by adding a complete stainless steel cocktail toolset: shaker, double jigger, strainers, muddler, and mixing spoon. Durable and professional-grade, this set turns the kit into a full home bar experience. It’s ideal for clients or employees who will appreciate both the drinks and the tools to keep making them.
Each Bluestem gift combines premium mixers with storytelling and recipes to bring the farm-to-glass journey to life.
Mixers may include lavender syrup, ginger syrup, rose geranium syrup, thyme syrup, elderberry tincture, aromatic bitters, rosemary or lavender aromatizers, spicy turmeric syrup, tulsi basil aromatizer, triple mint syrup, sage tincture, fire cider, or herbs for rimming.
Each kit also includes recipes developed in collaboration with bartenders nationwide, helping even beginners feel confident crafting cocktails or mocktails.
Meet the Makers
Bluestem Botanicals is co-owned by Eric Vander Hyde and Linda Shanahan, MSN, RN.
Eric, born in the Midwest, thrives on the intensity of farming. He designs equipment, processes herbs in the custom-built Farm Apothecary Kitchen Lab, and ensures that flavor and aromatics take center stage in the Garden-to-Glass movement.
Linda first connected with plants in the Pacific Northwest before bringing her passion east, where she now farms and teaches herbalism and whole-plant medicine. As both a nurse and an herbalist, she blends ecological awareness with a deep understanding of plant-based wellness.
Together, they built Bluestem Botanicals on honesty, gratitude, and humility. Their mission is to connect people to plants for food and medicine while envisioning a world where people live in balance with the natural systems they depend on. As they say, “It is not always about what is in the bottle, but what’s behind it; a farm built on relationships.”

The Enterprise Experience adds an interactive, virtual event to the Professional Kit. Each recipient joins a 1.5-hour live Zoom class where expert bartenders guide them through two cocktails and one mocktail. Alongside drink-making, participants learn tips, tricks, and herbal insights that make the session fun and engaging. Every event is recorded, ensuring no one misses out.
The Signature Experience is our most immersive package. It includes everything in the Professional Kit plus a two-hour in-person cocktail event. Participants craft two cocktails and two mocktails together while enjoying herbal storytelling and live mixology instruction. This package creates unforgettable memories, perfect for executive-level gifting or donor recognition.
